I'd like to welcome our newest sponsor, the Vancouver Island Safety Council. Many of our members are very much aware of the great job VISC already does for training new members of our motorcycle community. In fact I learned to ride safely through VISC, as have MANY of our members.

Enough good things can't be said about Bill and the rest of the staff at VISC.

Welcome aboard VISC, and I look forward to seeing your upcoming schedules!

Yay! VISC rocks. They were my first employer, actually (Tom Thumb Safety Village) and that's an experience I'll never forget.

I recall the poster on the door of the motorcycle theory classroom; the classic picture of Arai Helmet founder Hirotake Arai, standing on the seat of a moving motorcycle, with the message of how atypical he is (and therefore his helmets are).

VISC was responsible for me getting my MC license back in 1986.
Back when you could do the course and have them road test you in a couple weekends

Welcome!

These guys are awesome from the first intro session until you return with a smile on your face from the road test.

The skills you'll pick up are esssential I believe to staying out of yet another article in the TC. I got into a little trouble coming into a corner too fast maybe three weeks after getting my license. I started doing the n00b target fixation thing then suddenly fell back to my training and started pushing, leaning and believing (or whatever the catch phrase was) and it was all good.
